Living in Santa Barbara the vis isn’t always as we same prime. Especially during the winter we are forced to find alternatives and or different approaches to catching dinner. One thing i enjoy doing is hoop netting. It is really productive and a good way to catch crab and lobster. Another alternative is a Hawaiian sling which is better for short range and low visibility situations.
Visibility is vital to spearfishing although it can be one with different tactics.
